上班族的英文怎麼說呢？
一起來用英文聊聊當上班族的好處吧！
Bob 在和已經在上班的學長 Mike 聊天，他們在聊什麼呢？

office worker / desk jockey (n.) 上班族
office 意指「辦公室」，office worker 指的即是「在辦公室上班的人；上班族」。
同義詞還有 desk jockey，jockey 意指「操作員」，同樣指「辦公室工作人員；上班族」。
As an office worker, I try to make my workspace as comfortable as possible.
作為一個上班族，我盡可能讓我的辦公室環境舒適。
steady job/work (n.) 穩定的工作
steady 為形容詞，意思是「穩定的；穩固的」，steady job 或 steady work 皆是指「長期且穩定的工作」。
I have a steady job but it can be boring at times.
擁有一份穩定的工作，但有時候會很無聊。
office hours (n.) 上班時間
office hours 意指「上班時間；辦公時間」，或說 business hours，注意 hours 一定要用複數形唷！
舉例 Office Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM from Monday to Friday 就表示「辦公時間：週一至五早上八點至下午五點」。
Tommy was caught watching Netflix during office hours.
Tommy 被抓到上班時間看 Netflix。
都記好了嗎？那我們來看看以下 Bob 與 Mike 的對話，注意文中出現的單字哦！
Bob: So how’s your work now?
Bob：你現在工作如何？
Mike: Pretty good actually. I think I’m getting used to life as an office worker.
Mike：挺好的。我想我已經習慣上班族的生活了。
Bob: I’m happy for you! I remember back before we graduated you were so worried about getting a job.
Bob：我真為你高興！還記得你之前在學時很擔心找工作。
Mike: Well, it’s my student loan that I’m worried about now.
Mike：我其實是在擔心學生貸款。
Bob: Now that you have a steady job you don’t have to worry about it anymore.
Bob：你現在有個穩定的工作，你不用再擔心了。
Mike: Yes, all I have to do is show up at the office during my office hours and concentrate on my work, and in two years my student loan will be paid off!
Mike：沒錯，我要做的就是在上班時間出現在辦公室然後專心工作，兩年內就能還完學生貸款了！
Mike 的工作和工時都固定，這些都是身為上班族的優點，但難道就沒有缺點嗎？我們先來看看以下這三個單字。
regular (adj.) 規律的
regular 意指「規律的；定時的」，如 regular physical exam (定期體檢)、regular use of medication (定期用藥)。它的反義詞則是 irregular (不規律的)。
We make regular visits to see our grandmother in the country.
我們定期拜訪我們奶奶。The patient was told that his heartbeat was irregular and required further examination.
病患被告知心跳規律不整，需要進一步檢查。
commute (v.) 通勤
commute 意指「通勤」，commute from A to B 指的即是「從 A 地通勤至 B 地」，commute between A and B 則是「在 A 地與 B 地之間往返」。
I commute from Taoyuan to Taipei for work.
我從桃園通勤至台北上學。
It takes about an hour and a half to commute between my home and my office.
往返我家和學校要大約一個半小時。
flexibility (n.) 彈性
flexibility 意指「彈性」，源自形容詞 flexible (有彈性的；可變動的)，如: flexible working hours (彈性工作時間)。
My job offers plenty of flexibility. I can choose to work from home or at the office.
我的工作有很多彈性，我可以選擇要在家工作還是進辦公室。
Mike 為何會提到這些單字呢？我們來看看以下對話。
Mike: Another good thing is that I finally have a regular daily routine.
Mike：另一個很棒的事是，我終於有規律的生活作息了。
Bob: Oh yeah, I remember that you used to have multiple part-time jobs. It was hard to make plans with you at the weekend because your schedule was always changing.
Bob：噢對，你從前有很多個兼職。因為工作，你週末都很難約。
Mike: And sometimes I even had to wake up at midnight for the night shift.
Mike：而且我有時候甚至必須半夜起來上夜班。
Bob: Sounds rough.
Bob：聽起來很困難。
Mike: Now I have a fixed work schedule, I can finally sleep on time and wake up at the same time every morning. However, commuting every day is driving me a little crazy.
Mike：我現在有固定的工時，我總算可以定時睡覺然後早上起床。不過呢，通勤真的很令我抓狂。
Bob: Ah, the traffic jams during the rush hour, right?
Bob：啊……尖峰時期的塞車是吧？
Mike: Exactly. Also, there’s not much flexibility with my company. We have protocols that everyone has to follow, and it can be frustrating sometimes. But I guess that’s just the company culture.
Mike：沒錯。而且我的工作場所沒什麼彈性。每個人都必須遵守一套規章，有時挺令人懊惱。但我想這就是辦公室的文化。
每個職場都會有自己不同的文化，身為一個上班族 Mike 也必須融入他們公司的辦公室文化。
