團購

辦公室最夯的「團購」你一定要跟上！團購顧名思義就是一起買某樣東西，所以我們可以說 buy sth. together，但更為精確的說法是 group buying，在這裡是名詞，其他說法還有 team buying 或 collective buying。
A: Mary, look at this!
A：Mary，你看這個！
B: Oh my god! Chocolate pies! Buy one get one free! What a time to be alive!
B：天啊！巧克力派買一送一！活著真好！
A: We can get it at an even cheaper price if we do group buying.
A：團購的話就可以更便宜。
B: Sure! Count me in!
B：當然！算我一個！
A: Let’s ask Thomas if he wants to participate.
A：我們來問問 Thomas 要不要加入。
食物外送
?food sending
?food delivery
send 的意思是「寄送」，尤其是指寄送包裹、信件等郵寄，例如 send a letter (寄一封信)，若是講 send food 多半是用來指「食物賑災」，如：send food to Africa (送食物去非洲救濟)。辦公室常常會大家一起叫「食物外送」，英文則是 food delivery，delivery 意指「運送」。
A: What’s for lunch today?
A：今天午餐吃啥？
B: How about we try one of those new food delivery apps?
B：我們要不要來試看看新的食物外送 APP？
A: Are there any discounts?
A：有優惠嗎？
B: Let me see…
B：我看看哦……
A: Check and see if there’s any restaurants offering free delivery.
A：你看看有沒有餐廳提供免運。

開會
?open a meeting
?have a meeting
英文裡的確有 open a meeting 這種說法，但指的是「進行會議開場」，意思如 start a meeting。那麼「開會」的正確說法則是 have a meeting，動詞用 have，也可以用 hold (舉辦)。
A: We’re going to have a meeting at 9 a.m.
A：九點要開會。
B: Where is the meeting being held?
B：辦在哪裡？
A: In the conference room.
A：在會議室。
B: Who is chairing the meeting? John?
B：主講人是 John，對吧？
A: Yeah, I guess he’s going to open the meeting with one of his terrible jokes.
A：對，我猜他會用他的爛笑話當開場白。
B: Haha, typical John.
B：哈哈，我們都知道他的習慣。
腦力激盪
?think together
?brainstorm / do some brainstorming
「腦力激盪」的確是一種 think together 的過程，但絕對有更精確的講法，也就是 brainstorm，直翻意思是「腦袋暴風雨」，是不是很有「腦力激盪」的感覺呢？brainstorm 為動詞，意思即是「腦力激盪；集思廣益」，或可把它變成名詞，do some brainstorming。
A: Why are we having a meeting today?
A：今天為什麼要開會？
B: The group leader wants us to do some brainstorming.
B：組長要我們腦力激盪。
A: Can’t we brainstorm privately and tell him our thoughts later?
A：我們不能自己腦力激盪完再告訴他嗎？
B: I suppose he wants to “see” us brainstorm in front of him.
B：我想他是想「看」我們在他面前腦力激盪。
A: Man… Every time I see him my brain stops working.
A：老天…我每次看到他腦袋就壞死。

升遷
?get a better job
?get a promotion / get promoted
get a better job 意指「獲得一份更好的工作」，多半用來指在求職時找到一份更好的工作，而公司內部的「升遷」則是應當用 get a promotion 這個說法，意思是「獲得升遷」，promotion 即是指「升遷；提升」。promotion 這個名詞源自其動詞 promote (提拔；宣傳)，get promoted 即是「獲得提拔」，是「升遷」的另一種說法。
A: Congratulations on your promotion!
A：恭喜你升遷了！
B: Thanks! I never thought that I could get a promotion this year.
B：謝謝！我從沒想過今年可以獲得升遷。
A: You’ve earned it.
A：這是你應得的。
B: I couldn’t have done this without you.
B：沒有妳我也沒辦法被升遷。
A: Not at all. It’s been a pleasure to work with you.
A：別那麼說。能與你共事是我的榮幸。
領薪水
?get the money
?get paid
get the money 意指「拿到錢」，但是一種很模糊的說法，要精確地講出「領薪水」則是應當用 get paid，paid 為動詞 pay 的過去分詞。補充：get a raise 表示「獲得加薪」。
A: I’m so happy today!
A：真是快樂的一天！
B: Why?
B：怎麼說？
A: I got paid!
A：我今天領薪水了！
B: And? You seem happier than usual.
B：然後呢？你看起來比往常要開心。
A: Not only did I get paid, but I also got a raise!
A：我這次不止領了薪水，而且還獲得加薪！
