正在英國當交換學生的 Jessica，決定放假時去德國、奧地利玩一個禮拜，所以她便來到銀行，要把英鎊換成歐元。
Bank clerk: Good morning. May I help you?
銀行行員：早安，能為您效勞嗎？Jessica: I’d like to change some pounds into euros, please.
Jessica：我想要把一些英鎊換成歐元。Bank clerk: Sure. How much would you like to change?
銀行行員：沒問題，你想要換多少？Jessica: Could you tell me what the current exchange rate is?
Jessica：請問現在的匯率是多少？Bank clerk: Today’s exchange rate is 1.17 euros to the pound.
銀行行員：今天英鎊兌歐元的匯率是 1.17。Jessica: Do you charge commission?
Jessica：你們會收手續費嗎？Bank clerk: Yes, we’ll charge 2.5% commission fee.
銀行行員：會，我們會酌收 2.5% 的手續費。Jessica: In that case, I’d like to change 800 pounds to euros.
Jessica：這樣的話我要把 800 英鎊換成歐元。Bank clerk: That makes 915 euros. I’ll be right back with your money.
銀行行員：這樣可以換到 915 歐元，我等等就將您換的錢拿來。

change into (phr.) 兌換
change 除了「改變」，還有「兌換 (貨幣)」的意思，常搭配介系詞 into 使用。補充常見各國幣別：New Taiwan dollar (新台幣)、Renminbi / China Yuan (人民幣)、US dollar (美金)、pound (英鎊)、euro (歐元)、Japanese Yen (日幣)、piso (菲律賓披索)、Thai baht (泰銖)。
I want to change Japanese Yen into New Taiwan dollars.
我想要把日圓換成台幣。
exchange rate (n.) 匯率
exchange 意為「交換」，rate 意為「比率」，所以 exchange rate 就是所謂的「匯率」。中文說「1 美元可以換 30 台幣」，英文會倒過來講：30 New Taiwan dollars to US dollars。
The exchange rate fluctuated dramatically due to the long-lasting war.
長期的戰爭導致匯率波動大。
commission (n.) 手續費
commission 可以當銷售員賣出產品後得到的「傭金」或正式的「委託；請求」，但在這段對話，它是指銀行、公司提供你服務後，跟你收取的「手續費」，常搭配動詞 charge (收費) 使用。
The bank charges a 4% commission on all transactions.
這間銀行的所有交易都會收 4% 的手續費。
charge (v.) 收費
charge 是對某個服務「收費」，動名詞同形，用法大致分成兩種：1. charge for + 服務；2. charge sb. + 金額/費用。而片語 free of charge 則是「免費的 (地)」之意。
We don’t charge a customer service fee.
我們不跟客人收服務費。
在一個禮拜的短暫放鬆後，從德國回來的 Jessica 又去銀行把剩下的歐元換回英鎊…
Bank clerk: Good morning. May I help you?
銀行行員：早安，能為您效勞嗎？Jessica: Hello, I want to change 205 euros into pounds.
Jessica：您好，我想要把 205 歐元換成英鎊。Bank clerk: That makes 175 pounds. How do you like your money?
銀行行員：共可換到 175 英鎊，你想要怎麼換錢呢？Jessica: I prefer small bills.
Jessica：我偏好面額小一點的。Bank clerk: How about 17 tens and 1 five?
銀行行員：幫你換成 17 張十元和 1 張五元可以嗎？Jessica: Could you break the 5 euro bill into 50 pences? I need some change.
Jessica：你可以幫我把那張 5 磅換成 50 便士嗎？我需要一些零錢。Bank clerk: Certainly. Here’s your pounds.
銀行行員：沒問題，這邊是您的英鎊。Jessica: Thank you very much!
Jessica：非常感謝你！
How do you like your money? 你想要怎麼換錢？
當銀行行員問你 How do you like your money?，不要傻住，對方並不是問你喜不喜歡錢，而是在問你想要大鈔、小鈔、還是零錢唷！
A: How do you like your money?
B: I’d like 2 twenties and 4 fivesA：你想要怎麼換錢？
B：我想要兩張 20 元和四張 5 元。
small bill (n.) 面額較小的鈔票 (小鈔)
bill 的意思是「鈔票；紙幣」，small bill 就是「小鈔」， large bill 則是「大鈔」。
When you travel, smaller bills are more convenient than larger ones.
旅行的時候，小鈔比大鈔還要來的方便。
break into (phr.) 換零錢
洗衣服、搭公車、投販賣機等時候，我們常會需要用到零錢，但身上卻只有大鈔的時候，「換零錢」的英文句型就是「break + 大鈔 + into 小鈔」。
I want to break this fifty-dollar coin into tens.
我想把這個 50 元硬幣換成 10 元。
change (n.) 零錢
change 除了有「改變」的意思之外之外，當名詞時還有「零錢；找零」的意思，是不可數名詞。
He was surprised how much change he had after traveling to six different countries.
他很驚訝在去了六個國家旅遊之後所剩下的零錢有多多。
