Chronological CV/résumé 時序型履歷
適用於：
- 有相關工作經歷的老鳥 (mid-career professional)
- 有相關打工、實習經歷的社會新鮮人 (graduate fresher)
「時序型履歷」指內容是由發生時間新到舊按照順序書寫的履歷，而雖然叫做 chronological (按照順序)，但寫法是 reverse-chronological (逆時間順序)，也就是把最新的經歷或成就寫在最上面，例如「最高學歷」應該寫在「次高學歷」的上方；最近的工作經歷應寫在第一項等。
- 全名 (full name)：姓 (last name) + 名 (first name)
- 聯絡資訊 (contact information)：
- 通訊地址 (mailing address)
- e-mail 信箱
- 電話 (phone number)
- 概要 (overview)：相當於「個人招牌」，總結個人特質、能力專長、傑出成就
- 工作經歷 (professional / work experience)
- 學歷 (education)
- 技能與成就 (skills and achievements)：
- 證照 (certification)
- 電腦技能 (computer skills)
- 語言專長 (language skills)
- 相關經驗 (relevant experience)
概要 (overview) 可以用一、兩句話概括自己，例如：
A dedicated sales consultant with 5 years of experience in effectively improving sales associates’ performance. A college graduate who possesses a B.A. in Business Management.
一位盡責的銷售顧問，已有五年經驗，工作內容為有效地提升銷售同仁之銷售成績。大學畢業於企業管理學系。
補充：chronological CV 通常是老闆比較喜歡的履歷類型，因為可以一眼看出求職者適不適合該份工作。

Functional / Skills-based CV 功能型履歷
適用於：
- 有工作空窗期者 (having significant gaps in work history)
- 頻繁換工作者 (changing jobs frequently)
- 二度就業者 (re-entering the workforce)
- 無相關經歷的社會新鮮人 (graduate fresher)
「功能型履歷」意在強調專業能力與成就，而不是工作經歷。由於沒有太多相關經歷，或是上次的工作經歷已太久遠，因此著墨較多在個人技能上。
- 全名 (full name)：姓 (last name) + 名 (first name)
- 聯絡資訊 (contact information)：
- 通訊地址 (mailing address)
- e-mail 信箱
- 電話 (phone number)
- 職涯目標 (career objective)：簡述自己的身分、能力特質與目標
- 學歷 (education)
- 技能與成就 (skills and achievements)：
- 證照 (certification)
- 電腦技能 (computer skills)
- 語言專長 (language skills)
- 工作經歷 (professional/work experience)：由於缺乏相關經驗，因此建議將此欄置於履歷底部
職涯目標 (career objective) 可以這樣寫：
A recent graduate in Psychology, seeking a Human Resource Administration position to utilize leadership abilities, interpersonal skills, and high-level communication skills.
剛畢業於心理學系的社會新鮮人， 欲尋找人資行政之工作，以運用個人的領導能力、人際關係能力，以及良好的溝通能力。
Combined / Hybrid CV 混合型履歷
適用於：
- 有直接相關經歷者 (having directly relevant skills to the position)
- 想轉換跑道且有「可轉移技能」者 (changing industries and having transferable skills)
「混合型履歷」就是保留 chronological CV 的編排順序，再加入 functional CV 中強調相關技能的部分。混合型履歷可以完整列出個人的資訊與優勢以吸引人資目光，但缺點就是較冗長，一般履歷以一到兩頁為限。
- 全名 (full name)：姓 (last name) + 名 (first name)
- 聯絡資訊 (contact information)：
- 通訊地址 (mailing address)
- e-mail 信箱
- 電話 (phone number)
- 概要 (overview)：相當於「個人招牌」，總結個人特質、能力專長、傑出成就

何謂「可轉移技能」？
Transferable skills are the abilities that an employee can use in any job. Teamwork ability, communication skills and problem-solving ability are three common examples of transferable skills.
「可轉移技能」即可適用於任何工作的能力，團隊合作的能力、溝通能力和解決問題能力都是常見的「可轉移技能」。

適合所有履歷的秘訣：
- 學經歷皆以發生時間新 → 舊的方式呈現
- 不要使用縮寫，如： isn’t、weren’t
- 建議盡量用列點的方式呈現履歷
