serve
serve 若作為提供來解釋，主要是指「(餐廳) 供應食物或飲料」或「為工作付出」的意思，並可以搭配 out 形成動詞片語 serve sth. out 表示「繼續工作、擔任職務直到規定時限」。
Breakfast is served between 9:00 and 11:00 in this hotel.
這間旅館在早上九點到十一點之間供應早餐。She has served in the army for more than 20 years.
她為軍隊效力已長達二十年。
serve sth. up 是指「向某人提供」或是「分配飯菜」之意義。
Our organization serve up meals for the homeless.
我們機構為街友提供餐點。Could you help them serve up the pizza?
你能幫我分一下披薩嗎？
provide
當我們提到「提供」，那麼 provide 這個字應該是最快出現的腦海裡的吧！他最主要的意思就是「給予他人所需要的東西」。它的用法主要有三種，分別是 provide sb. with sth.、provide sth. for/to sb. 和 provide sth.。
The language school provides all its new entrants with free boarding.
The language school provides free boarding for/to all its new entrants.
語言學校提供新生免費食宿。The language school provides good meals.
語言學校提供的伙食不錯。
offer
offer 也是提供的意思，但比較強調是「主動給予、願意提供」的意思。用法主要有兩種，分別是 offer sb. sth. 和 offer sth. to sb.。其他用法如：offer to do sth. (願提提供做某事的幫助)。
The company offered me a fantastic position.
The company offered a fantastic position to me.
公司提供我一個絕佳的職位。
額外補充片語 offer an olive branch (遞出橄欖枝)，表「主動表達和解的願望」，所以在這個俚語中，用 offer 比其他表示「提供」的單字更為恰當喔！
The opposition offered an olive branch to the government by ending the civil war.
反對黨藉由結束內戰向政府遞出橄欖枝。
此外 offer 也可當名詞使用，常見的 job offer 意思是「(提出的) 工作機會」，如下例句所示：
After considering several job offers, I accepted a position with a startup in Taipei.
在考慮了許多工作機會之後，我最後接受了台北一間新創公司的職位。
supply
時常與 provide 相互使用，同樣是提供他人所需的東西，但 supply 更偏重於「大量和長期供給」，當名詞使用時，常為「供應品、補給品、生活用品」之意涵，強調「定期供應補給」。用法與 provide 雷同，分為 supply sb. with sth. 和 supply sth. to sb. 兩種用法。
The company supplies all its employees with a violence-free working environment.
The company supplies a violence-free working environment to all its employees.
公司為員工提供無暴力的工作環境。

proffer
雖然 proffer /ˈprɑfɚ/ 也是「提供」的意思，但它強調「給出去、伸出去」的動作，也能當作是「提供建議或意見」時使用的動詞，主要用法與 offer 相似為 proffer sb. sth.，為正式用字。
Jack proffered me a cup of coffee that made me feel so warm.
Jack 遞上一杯咖啡給我，讓我覺得很溫暖。She struggled to proffer some great ideas in the morning conference.
她試圖在晨間會議中提供一些好點子。
